Central Australia: 2012
The collaboration between Spiritual Adventure Tours and Initiate Tours in 2010 was spectacularly successful! So much so, that we'll definitely do it again in 2012, so stay tuned for the next exciting adventure!
This was the seven day Sweet Water "Lilla" tour which took us to Glen Helen, Ormiston Gorge, Kings Canyon, Kata Tjuta and Uluru, as well as two wonderful days with the Aboriginal community at Lilla. It was an honour to be shown sacred places, to hear Dreamtime stories, to learn about bush tucker, and even get to taste the delicacies of honey ants and witchetty grubs! Personally, I must say I was happy the latter were cooked before being consumed!
Yay! Open wide and take a bite - it's really nice! And actually it was...just goes to show - you shouldn't be deterred by pre-conceived notions of what's tasty and what's not.
Corporate lawyer turned Change Catalyst , Helen Gregoriou, is the inspiration behind Initiate Tours. She offers personalised excursions - with a twist - to outback Australia. Helen describes the tours as " magical journeys of self-discovery on sacred Indigenous land". On these voyages, Helen combines her 15 years of corporate experience with her newly acquired knowledge of the 5000 year old Indian Ayurvedic ‘science of health and wellbeing’. It was a delight to see her sharing her knowledge and teachings. Through personal consultations and group activities she helped us see more clearly how to initiate change in our lives.

Travelling with tarot

Thanks, for the wrap, Audrey. I thoroughly enjoyed tarot on the bus, tarot in swags around the campfire, tarot in places of spiritual significance, tarot in cafes, tarot anywhere and everywhere! I think the tarot worked so well on this tour because the focus of Helen's Initiate Tours is change. We all experienced how the tarot is a wonderful tool for revealing issues that need to be taken into account when initiating change in our lives. And, as we all discovered, if you keep asking questions, the answers keep coming!
